To encapsulate EuroCrossCamp VIII is a task. Certainly, there were travel difficulties due to snowstorms in Europe as CrossCamp riders arrived to prepare for the first weekend. Certainly, the conditions in the first week made Bend 1.0 and 2.0 look like a baby stroller ride along a Riviera promenade. Certainly, the level was every bit as high as ever. So much so that I found myself wondering seriously if even our best American elite guys could win a U23 race World Cup. Director’s Journal #1 – Finally A Full Squad

Greetings from snowy, soggy West Flanders-- Somehow, I didn’t feel right penning a CrossCamp update until the roster was complete. Now, with a 3:30 am trip north today to Rotteram, Netherlands to pick up our last two Euro adventurers, Jeff Bahnson and Gunnar Bergey, we’re full and (almost) ready to do battle as a full squad. “Almost” because we still have 6 guys without equipment. But, we’re getting there. Response from Belgium and the US has been overwhelming and everyone here is super appreciative. We’ve got bikes coming on loan from Franky V H, Jonathan Page’s mechanic;...
